I’m Scott and I’m a hobbyist photographer with years of experience in digital and film photography, including some experience developing and printing in a dark room. This site is a home for my photo galleries, Fujifilm film recipes, and other thoughts relating to photography. It’s more for me than anyone else–an attempt to keep a casual blog which may evolve as my photographic interests do.
I’m an unabashed Fujifilm X series fan as well as a collector of vintage lenses. Most recently I’ve been returning to film photography again which is an opportunity to revisit my photographic roots. The process of shooting film feels soothing to me, and after years of instant gratification its good to introduce some patience to my daily routine.
My photographic interest rotates through portrait, event, travel, and nature photography. I often seek to make images which I describe as graphical–sometimes my photos are much less about what the subject is and more about capturing striking compositions that feel just a bit otherworldly or unsettling. I also love to haunt cemeteries and capture interesting grave markers.
